Wheelchair Camp

This week was the week of Idaho Youth Wheelchair Sports Camp or IYWSC. We played all sorts of sports, from wheelchair Basketball, to Wheelchair Soccer. If a sport had wheelchairs involved, chances are we played that sport.

It was also the year of pushing myself. I went on a long 5 mile walk on the Greenbelt, it was taxing but rewarding. It was liberating. It was the farthest I’d driven a wheelchair ever.

Another moment was when playing goalie during wheelchair soccer. My coach said he was going to widen the goalposts. I almost wet myself. i thought it was a huge disadvantage. But I knew I could do it. I not only survived, but I excelled.

I couldn’t have done it without faith.
